I originally connected with photography as an extension of movement and expression. My educational and artistic background in dance led me to begin photographing bodies juxtaposed with unique spaces, further engage with performance art, and study movement both in front of and behind the camera. As I further pursued dance and eventually became an educator, photography as a profession followed due to my understanding of movement aesthetics and human form. In the physical arts, I use found objects layered with written word, projections, and atmospheric design to explore human relationships and loss.
